CFValve™ Overview
With over a million units used worldwide, the Gate CFValve™ is universally applicable within any process that profits from a constant, calibrated flow of fluids - liquid or gas. The CFValve™ is designed to provide a constant rate of fluid flow at a preset pressure when coupled with a down-stream orifice. It is important to note that the CFValve™ will only open once the threshold operating pressure is reached; fluid rate remains constant regardless of variations in input pressure. Should the input pressure fall below the threshold pressure, the CFValve™ will immediately close and shut off fluid flow. The CFValve™ was originally designed in the 1990s -at the request of DuPont- to improve the safety and accuracy of spray deposition for agricultural knapsack applications. Since then, Gate has expanded the CFValve™to many areas of flow control (from spraying to mixing and metering) across numerous industries including , but not limited to, Beverage, Agriculture, Lawn/Pest Control, Vector Control, Forestry/Right of Way, Car Wash as well as several other Custom Solutions. The CFValve™ enjoys universal appeal for any process that profits from the constant, calibrated flow of liquids, air or gases. Durable
CFValve's™ body and passages are constructed from high grade Delrin® with throttle pins and springs made of stainless steel and a VITON® rubber diaphragm. Tests conducted in Imperial College, U.K. show no wear or damage inspite of over 1700 hours of continual use. The body is tamper proof. Each unit is individually inspected and pressure tested before shipping.
